Week Twelve Norway Speedway Results Week Twelve, August 3, 2007, The 2007 State Line Challenge, presented by Elias Auto Parts and the U.P. Off Road 100. [Daily Press coverage] Wendricks Truss is proud to sponsor the #1 car of Mike Reichenberger for the 2007 Season! Late Model Results: Jamie Iverson was the fast qualifier for the race with a time of 14.463. This is the fastest time yet to be timed during the 2007 season. Mike Reichenberger qualified in the 7th place position with a time of 14.752. 16 year old, Dalton Zehr traveled all the way from Florida for this race and ended up taking the win in the Fast Dash. Mike did not make the dash. He started in 6th place in the heat race, but did not try too hard. He wanted to save his tires for the feature. He ended the heat race in 5th place. Mike Richer won the First Late Model Heat, Scott Degnan won the Second Late Model Heat, and Tomm Gee Jr. won the Third Late Model Heat Race. There was a huge crowd in attendance for the $2000 2007 State Line Challenge. Tom Gee Jr drove around the outside of Bruce White earning the early lead. After a couple brief cautions (one which saw defending State Line Champion Jamie Iverson moved to the back of the field due to an altercation with Bob Danes), Gee left everybody in his dust, as the field ripped off 57 consecutive green flag laps. Jamie Iverson had made his way into the third place position, and was attempting to pass the second place car of Dalton Zehr, when the two made contact bringing out the third caution. Zehr and Iverson would then assume the tail end of the field, which meant they would start in the seventh and eight positions. As Gee brought the field to the third restart, Mike Reichenberger had moved his way into the second place position and the two battled for the lead. Jamie Iverson again made his way into the second position passing Reichenberger. Iverson was using every inch of the track trying to pass Gee, but Gee was also using every inch trying to keep his position. With the laps counting down quickly, Iverson drove to the outside of Gee as the two banged door to door. At this point the entire crowd was on their feet! With only 12 laps remaining Gee slid up the track and Iverson spun bringing out the final caution flag. As Iverson and Gee had been both indirectly involved in the incident, they both were sent to the rear of the field. At this time Mike Reichenberger who had been racing in the third position assumed the lead. The final 12 laps would not be easy for Reichenberger as he had a mirror full of the 16-year-old Floridian Dalton Zehr. But in the end the #1 Reichenberger held off the 16 year old, as Mike Reichenberger won the 2007 $2000 State Line Challenge. Dalton Zehr second, Jamie Iverson third, Dillon Kralovets fourth, Kevin Beyer making his first appearance in 2 years came home fifth, Tom Gee sixth, Bob Danes seventh, Mike Richer eighth, Bruce White ninth, and Keith Romenesko tenth.
